Madness

Dear Ben:

Congratulations!! We are pleased to inform you that the request you submitted to support your research project entitled "The Complexity and Thoroughness of K-12 Alternative Energy Education Materials in Michigan" has been recommended for funding by the CANR Undergraduate Research Committee at $2,000 for Fall’07.

This funding is provided to support your research in collaboration with Dr. David Johnson, your research advisor. The funds cannot be used to support research with any other faculty advisor, and any significant change in the originally intended project must be approved by the CANR Undergraduate Research Committee.

As an awardee, your full participation in the CANR Undergraduate Research Program is expected. This includes attendance at one sponsored workshop or seminar during the Spring '07 semester, participation in an informational session for prospective program applicants, and possibly presentation of your work at a College-sponsored symposium. We anticipate that you will present your results at the 2008 Spring University Undergraduate Research & Arts Forum. We ask that you acknowledge this source of funding in all presentations and publications related to this project.

Although the Committee has approved this funding, funding for your project is contingent on the continued support of the CANR Undergraduate Research Program by the Provost's office. This support is expected, but not guaranteed. Dr. Steven van Nocker, Program Coordinator, will be contacting you shortly to discuss more details of the program, and he will be happy to answer all related questions.

Again, we are pleased that your project was funded and look forward to its success.

Sincerely,

Eunice Foster
Associate Dean
