Letterbox #1 and random pics

I couldn't find a good place to take the picture of the Department of Transportation. Charles Holden designed the Senate House library and this building, as well as some other tube stations around London. This was Orwell's influence for the Ministry of Information and Hitler's first choice for a command center for when he took London. The Senate House was my first clue for letterbox #1.
Controversial statues on the Department of Transportation. St. James Station.
"You'll know you're in the right place when the walls are covered in white faces." Here is a terrible picture of one of them.
The private gate, the metal enclosure and the ivy leaves that hide letterbox #1.
The letterboxing goods!
On my way to letterbox #1 I saw this great street view of some old buildings. On the far left is Big Ben, that's all I'm afraid I know.
Just to the left of this ivy swamped tower is a large warehouse-turned-hip restaurant. So hip, in fact, that they don't even have a sign. The only identification we could find was the stone plaque on the top left: "London Hydraulic Power Company 1850."
This clever pun doubles as a valuable warning.
Rawr! Trafalgar Square is huge. I'll take more pics next Wednesday when we meet at the National Gallery for class.
Guess who's bed isn't made? The fourth floor is a sauna. Here's our living room on the second story, and Brad on his laptop. A majority of my flatmates have laptops and most are willing to let anyone use them. I love them. Hugs and kisses go out to Brad and Greg for their generosity.
