The Incredible Myths

I had this dream about nonexistent mythological and literary figures coming to life in an authoritative world. They were hunted by the government for the freedom of spirit and mind with which they 'threatened the security of the nation.' The plot was vague to me at first, but as I was mumbling through the timeline of events during breakfast and the drive to work I realized the coolness of it. It's kind of like X-Men meets Fahrenheit 451.



One character was just a large stone face with a mustache, lodged in the tidal swells of a beach. He talked very much, and before he was killed he became upset because his voice became not his own and he questioned the muscle man running from the bullets why his own name had changed without his knowing it.
Mr. Nero is oooooouuuuuuut! Wait, who calls me Mr. Nero? You secretly recorded me because you thought I'd get angry!?
